I don't know that this is a good short candidate, and I hope you are wrong because it will be bad for America if we cannot get both the energy and housing sectors moving in 2012.
It is true that fracking is getting a lot of negative press lately, and that CJES gets most of its revenue from this space. However, it is hard to imagine that in an election year you will see candidates pushing an agenda that would threaten to kill job growth in middle America.
Also, take a look at CJES's main customers today - HAL, HP, PVA, APC, EOG, XCO, PXP. It sure looks to me like American companies in the oil and gas space are poised to move higher in 2012 if the country can continue to slowly but surely demonstrate growth. The problems in Europe are not going away, but there is potential for upside in certain sectors in the US next year. And oil and gas has a great chance of being one of those sectors!
