Actually, all the lodging stocks have been falling for the last couple of months. Some say the up-cycle is ending for the lodging industry. Oversupply of rooms then takes over reducing the value of these stocks. Others say there are a couple of years left in the cycle. I don't know enough about it to say why the stocks are falling. I am buying because MDH "seems to be" undervalued here. My big concern is that they are so small, only about 7 or 8 properties. Then again, maybe someone will come along and buy them. Not likely though.
At least the board is waking up. There are so many selling or on the sidelines. Think it is too late to get out, time to get in. Dividend is very well covered at least according to estimates. Hotels have gone from Wall Street darlings to sells with little change in there actual fundamentals.
