Carelessly?? Sanofi made the public statement without alerting OSIRIS beforehand, without speaking about concerns it may have had. Clearly they washed their hands of it, no? The word discontinued wasn't a typo was it? ;) I dunno what I would do in this situation but a large part of me would not want to work with a partner like that. just imo
If Sanofi said it was a mistake...INADVERTENTLY ....easy enough to believe when all the scenarios are applied.
Seems OSIR is trying to exploit the mistake. Which would indicate some things....positive.
And Sanofi did not make a public statement...it was picked out of a report...by some poster/blogger/basher. INADVERTENTLY But nevertheless, in the short term the PPS suffers...and time is money...and more money and more money.
I'm not sure "inadvertently" would hold up in a court of law. The terms of the contract were clear. Now having this played out in court would definitely benefit Sanofi. They could make legal costs cost prohibitive. The Sanofi disagreement is all about Prochrymal which for GVHD is at best a 300 mil market. AMI and Crohn's is a different story. The wound care products that OSIR has is independent of Sanofi and really IMO the market driver for OSIR. If I were to make a guess about clinical trials I would say Prochymal fails in Crohn's and is successful in AMI. These are just my predictions. GLTA
