Stem cells on medical devices, specifically metal, now officially on the Abbott (Ireland) playbook. Boys, its game time.

If it turns out that Osiris is aligning with Abbott, LOOK OUT!

Please see my previous post for the patents that prove beyond any doubt that Abbott is now planning to put stem cells on stuff (AKA medical devices).

Who has the patents they need? Osiris Therapeutics.

Think of it as Grafix and Ovation on cardiac stents. This will shut down restenosis and coat the wall with stem cells that prevent future/additional coronary artery disease.

Read the new studies about "bad stem cells" contributing to coronary artery disease, and you can see why having a Grafix or Ovation coating is the way to go.

Its a big deal, and let me explain why.

Abbott's everolimus is number 1 right now, but everolimus does not coat the artery wall and prevent the same bad stem cells from causing future problems. A stem cell solution solves this problem.

Expect double digit millions in royalty per quarter if this tracks along the old Angiotech Taxus royalty stream, which would be the nearest equivalent. Any questions?

    Sentiment: Strong Buy
