    what is private market value?...

i am a cpa that handles business valuations.
i am not sure exactly what you mean by private market value - if you mean the value that would be placed on coke as a private company rather than public you are dead wrong.

public companies almost always get a higher valuation than private ones because they are "hands off" and are a lot more liquid. try selling a small business for 20 times earnings.

i agree that the low 50s are a decent entry point, i am a seller however when it pops above 54.

    • PMV refers to the value in the event a transaction was done at levels prevalent in the industry. (ie if CCE decided to buy COKE). By the way they own 696,000 shares of COKE per the latest proxy. If they wanted to tender for the rest it would take a premium offer---not the $54 you would be willing to sell for.
