I just sold my huge stake in Indonesian Telephone that I bought just after the asian meltdown of 10 years ago. (800% gain) For some reason I am attracted to stocks out of favor so it makes sense for me to look into housing. This is some of my thoughts. Timing seems to be everything with this situation. We investors are no different than all the potential home buying waiting & waiting for the best deal. I also know that picking the bottom is very difficult. Bad stocks just go down and down. In addition, I think that these stock will see their bottom about one year before the housing market really shows strong turn. With MTH down in one month from about 36 to 26 I am now getting really interested but, like the homebuyer, I'm sitting on the sidelines for now. Speaking of recovery, I think we will see 2008 as stablizing, 2009 slight improvement, 2100 improvement, 2011 solid gains, 2012 heating-up. When these stocks turn they'll gain 30% in one month. I'm looking for a 300% to 500% gain in 5 years.
Good point. This stock needs to showsome sideways movement before I'm getting in. It's nearly impossible to pinpoint the bottom on a chart like this thing's got. It's like betting on a horse thats last coming around the forth corner. It's a lousy bet.......
Cesium, if you think it is possible to pump and dump MTH based on what information is shared on this website, your the moron. Anyone running real money which could effectively move the market, given average daily volume of almost 900,000 shares, surely isn't being affected by the rants of anonynmous and emotional amateurs such as yourself.
Glib-laymens definition"airhead blabbermouth, uninformed loudmouth dumbass"
Google definition "marked by lack of intellectual depth"
Now before you post again...think about something. Wrap your mind around this. YOU HAD TO LOOK UP THE DEFINITION OF GLIB BEFORE YOU RESPONDED.
Why would I take any opinion you have seriously? To the ignore list with you retardo.
I had to look up "glib". I kind of like "a smooth-tongued hypocrite".
marked by lack of intellectual depth; "glib generalizations"; "a glib response to a complex question"
having only superficial plausibility; "glib promises"; "a slick commercial"
artfully persuasive in speech; "a glib tongue"; "a smooth-tongued hypocrite"
It looks like housing stocks will bottom out this month. The economy is stronger than expected which will impact the housing market in a positive way. Excesses like flippers, and unsophisticated investors have already been rung out of the system. At worst, MTH should fall no more than about 5-10% from where it is now. Then it will start to recover in the fall. Now is the time to find the bargains.
