Assuming that the US chicken manufacturers do not flood the Chinese market for real, which would not be a bad ploy considering that is what the Chinese historically have done with their products here, this will likely result in a decrease in chicken sales to China. China has been the number one importer of US chicken and new markets will need to be found elsewhere. Russia the number two importer of US chicken, having just resumed importing, could take up some of the slack, but it takes time to establish new markets. It is likely chicken prices will drop to the degree there is a surplus. All things being equal, businesses that sell chicken should benefit by these lower costs.
