You could try to leverage down if your opinion of this MLP which led you to purchase it in the first place has not changed. Your emotional rant seems to indicate perhaps you are not cut out to be an investor or a trader. I suggest you take a longer term view when investing in the energy MLPs. Over the long term, I'm sure you will enjoy both the returns and as well as capital growth appreciation. In the meantime, don't panic or suggest selling at or near a low!
If you invest in ALDW and the like: NTI, CVRR you have to expect high volatility. I keep track and calculate the volatility of what I buy or think of buying. ALDW 10 days volatility is 64%, the 20 days 52% and the 30 days 46%. I bell out of ALDW after the last Xdate. I do not plan on getting back in for another 2 weeks. The other way to invest in ALDW is to buy and forget it 2 or 3 years. I would not recommend this avenue, way too risky?
