    Hey Drac1us...(OT/CSCO)

Do you see CSCO as a good short-term short candidate here?

    • Ken doll is drinking heavily I would imagine and the inmate dumped his SUNW too so he's cool. Go there, it's a happier place.

    • Thanks, Dear. I'll keep it in the back of my mind, too. I bet the guyz in the asylum must be going haywire now with the new revised set of numbers.

Now, let me see if I can get Kenny doll to speak up a little. It's in my job description. LOL

    • Right so it goes like this - summer rally to 2271 (that may be too high, but it works with the 2328 peak and an abc from the 1387 low), then the final crash into the October lows (1000?). This could be completely wrong. Believe me, I'm not making any bets based on that scenario, but it's what I'm working with in the back of my mind.

    • >>>> At some point in a bear market, there should be a massive short covering rally before the final capitulation lows. I think that's how it works anyway. So, this may be it. I think we could go as high as 2271 IF we make a successful retest of this last low. But my opinion may not be popular.

I'm dayzed so let me see if I can follow you.

You think that the massive short covering will take place BEFORE the final capitulation, right? So, then today's rally could be the one that may take us up to 2100 or 2271. And then come more waves of capitulation.

I'm not saying that the tech correction is over.

    • At some point in a bear market, there should be a massive short covering rally before the final capitulation lows. I think that's how it works anyway. So, this may be it. I think we could go as high as 2271 IF we make a successful retest of this last low. But my opinion may not be popular. For one thing, Vix and Bpcompq are certainly not supporting that high of a target. So I may be delusional.

    • CNBC just reported this analysis, can you tell me what it means or if it's significant for TA?

It has been a while when the Naz was up 100+ points, with over 2 bill volume. The last time the Naz had this type of rally was last July.

      1.7B from buying
      200M from selling

    • Yes, volumes are convincing, but the support has to be tested before we can move up in a BIG rally. I really think we only have to go back to today low's low to qualify as a retest. As the inmate in the asylum is saying, we need double bottoms. So, lovin' this rally. I'll take my profits and buy back in on the pullback.

    • >>> Next leg up? We need consolidation or a pullback first, I think. But you never know. Tomorrow could be another big run. I'm not counting on it though.

But aren't the high volumes today convincing enough? These volumes seem to be triggered by electronic program trading by the hedge funds, is the explanation given on CNBC.

    • Jeeeezz, if I can answer your question, I wouldn't be here posting, would I?

Although some bellwethers to watch whether this rally is sustained or not is if CSCO can hold at 16, SUNW at 7.30 or 7.50....

    • I believe it will consolidate or pull back.
