I see we have a lot in common, Rab! Like you, I left school at 12, started my own business, and became a millionaire by the time I was 14 years old. I then sold the business for 76 gazillion dollars and retired. Now, I own 4 cars and 5 houses, 567 trillion acres of real estate and the Brooklyn Bridge. I'm extremely fascinated by myself and am thinking of writing my own autobiography. How 'bout you?
Oh, by the way, think of me as the blond Elvira. ;-)
"What I wanna know is YOUR view on what happened to SEGA and their quest to steal EA sport market share? D'you think there might be conspiracy going on whereby EA was actually *paying* Sega for admitting total defeat like that? Tsk tsk"
Dayzee, you're one step behind, as always. This is too funny. I'm not here to defend SEGA, I couldn't give a damn. They were one potential reason for ERTS to have limited upside, one of many, and that's what I was focused on and what I put my money on. Every time you thought the stock was going to break out to $69, $80, whatever, I was there shorting that spike and covering lower. Time and again. So what if SEGA sold zero units of any of their games? Do you think I care the *reason(s)* why ERTS has the volatility it has? It doesn't matter what the justification of a stocks price action is, before or after the fact, what's important is how you play the game. Have you seen the Color of Money? Tom Cruise wins but Paul Newman walks off with the bulk of the money. Think of me as Paul Newman, and yourself as the generic female lead whom no-one remembers :-)
>> Sure, that's why I'm up 250% YTD in my portfolio.
Like I can believe anything coming from you now!
>> How are those 120 shares working out?
I have much, much more than 120 shares now but who cares. What I wanna know is YOUR view on what happened to SEGA and their quest to steal EA sport market share? D'you think there might be conspiracy going on whereby EA was actually *paying* Sega for admitting total defeat like that? Tsk tsk
"We all know Rab's right about 0% of the time. Now that Sega goes up in flame, what can the guy say? The heck with his past predictions and credibility on the board, right?"
Sure, that's why I'm up 250% YTD in my portfolio. How are those 120 shares working out?
I predicted little upside. It's up 10% YTD. I'd call that "little upside", especially with all the "good news".
Well I lost nothing on SEGA since I've never traded them. I made out well shorting ERTS with repeated trades this year, and most recently I was buying THQI at $14 and shorting MWY at just under $6. Looking good from here, up over 250% YTD actually. ERTS on the other hand is up 10% YTD :-)
