    swtor sales down

If you study MMO's, there sales go down after the first month. SWTOR will steadily add subscribers. I'm thinck 4 mill before the year ends. WOW is over once they come out with the Panda expsansion. Guild Wars 2 will do well but cannot ccmpete with SWTOR. If you study this company, John R. has made all the right moves

That statement doesn't withstand even the most basic level of scrutiny.

    • MMO history tells us that ToR is not going to be the next wow which was something that pushed the stock up to high levels. There is absolutely no buzz around the game. No one is talking about it and it doesnt seem to be attracting high school kids.

All the major (1m+ subs) MMO's had growth in their first 6 months without a single month of decay with the sole exception being Lineage 1. It looks like ToR will have decay in their 2nd month. This means growth will be very slow. WoWs growth was incredible for 24 months straight.

So anyway, ToR is not going to replace WoW. Where it will go remains to be seen but we know that it will not generate $1b in revenue every year so back to the drawing board. Without a big MMO just what is EA worth? Can they even turn a profit the way they are now? Are we better off investing in something else?
