MM Wire reports from ERTS press day yesterday in NY: PS2 games - Theme Park RollerCoaster (early Dec), XSquad (Oct), Kessen (Oct). PS games - Medal of Honor Underground (Oct), WCW Backstage Assault, 007 Racing and The World is not Enough (all Nov)
Interesting because fatbabies.com claims is way late - so we'll see how good their info is.
ERTS also mentioned that the huge PC title, Black & White, is gonna be late - now they're talking Spring of 01.
Nice wrap-up. Alice is a 3rd person action adventure while Undying is a first person shooter based on an upgraded version of the Unreal engine. They both look great. Black & White is a god style game like which is typical of its creator, Peter Molyneux (although the title looks anything but typical. I think it bodes well that ERTS is looking for growth outside of its old reliable EASPORTS franchises.
5-6M PS2 titles by end of year??? How? There may only be 1.5M PS2's in the US and Europe by that time. Even if you're optimistic and think EA will sell 50% of all software for the system that would mean every user buying 6-8 titles EACH!! Seems a little on the high side to me but I guess time will tell.
