    Trial Result

If the trial results are great (which I strongly believe they will be)--will there be a "flood" of compassionate release applications to the FDA to get this scaffold technology to other acute injured cord patients--I know for sure that if I was in an auto accident and was paralyzed from the waist down I would want this made available to me ASAP!!! wouldn't it border on "cruelty" to not be able to offer it!!!

    • The magic window is roughly a max 21 days to have the scaffold inserted to prevent loss of sensory and motor function. After that window, we would need stem cells implanted on the scaffold to have any chance of recovery. Correct me if I am wrong, but this is my understanding.

      • my understanding is that neural stem cells will have more of a role to play in chronic spinal cord injury-for those who have been confined to wheelchairs etc for years. The scaffold in the acute spinal cord patient should mediate any further damage and allow at least some preservation of some of the neural connections

        Sentiment: Strong Buy

      • Primarily 21 days, secondarily through a 60 day period. As seen with monkeys.

Humans are expected to give better results and aren't "sacrificed" in 90 days, so the one-year follow-up with human patients may even show us more stunning long term recoveries. It's all good!

        Sentiment: Strong Buy
