    A real dog

International stocks fly in 2006, This dog does 14.7%. 2% to get out. Sell if you have been in it for over one year. S&P does much better last six months. 1.53% per year for their bad stock picks.

    • The people who buy this fund want preservation of capitol. The manager knows that and has done that and then some. Last year's performance was about 17% in spite of a hugh cash position. The distribution at the end of the year was 4.6 percent for a total of about 21%. There were not many Anerican funds that matched that performance. TAVIX outperformed most American funds with a lower beta than just about any other American fund in existance except for FAIRX. Personally, I would like to thank the manager for his good work.

    • The is not a dog. It's had a large position in cash because a bunch of numbskulls like yourself blindly sent in money and the manager won't buy until he feels prices are reasonable. You should of known the fund would underperform as strongly rising market and outperform a falling market when you got in it. If you had done some researh you would of. The 2% exit fee for short term selling is great. The fund isn't meant for short term traders and the fee makes them pay if they try instead of hurting the return to long term holders of the fun
