AMD was beat down by short selling just like RIMM was to historic lows.
RIMM is up close to 300% in the past 3 months.
This same thing happened to AMD in January 2009 where short selling drove AMD down to $2.
By the end of 2009 AMD shot uo 400%. Hundreds of millions AMD shares were short and help fuel the rally as the shorts had to buy shares to cover.
Here we are in 2012 and short sell has beat down AMD to $1.87. AMD in just a few weeks shot up to over $2.40. Shorts can not cover without sending AMD much higher.
AMD has 140 million shares short. (24% of the stock).
2013 is sure shapping up to be another 2009 all over again and we should recover from all these shorts JUST LIKE RIMM.
Stock market is down big today while AMD IS UP!!!!
