Vincent: I remember him taking a call from a lady who was wondering what was going on with MU (my interpretation of her comment). This was the middle of last week on his lightening round segment. He pretty much stated the same as the news commentary stated....that being...
"Cramer was cautious about Micron, saying that he is seeing a lot of people getting rid of the stock to take profits on the name. He advised trimming positions in the stock in order to collect some profits now, while maintaining a stake in the company."
In effect, pull some of yer winnings off the table and wait. Can't really argue with the sentiment. But his "maintaining a stake" commentary can also be interpreted as seeing further progress in the long view.
Agreed. What kind of traders post here who don't even know the basics? They're saying the price is going down because of short covering - that's WRONG, WRONG, WRONG! How many times must this be explained and ignored by many on this board?
I read it the first words were "Jim Cramer ranked this stock a sell" . That's pretty clear to me no matter what it said after that. Ever since he made that call on the 22nd MU has gone down and the Nazdaq has gone up 36 points in two days. I would say it may have had an affect on the shares.
