SAMSUNG reports increased mobile chip demand; MU just falls. Now at 16.72. Ex;planation?
Manipulation. The big forces don't want the $17 calls to be exercised. I'm really sick of this. Every week we have options on this stock, and this kind of computerized manipulation is on full tilt. We can't even get to 17 any more. Your take?
That's just the way it is. Presuming you're correct in your presumption there's absolutely nothing you can do about it. BUT, knowing this it should effect your style of trade so to not get drubbed, eh? ;-)
And even from a longer term aspect it gives one better in/out perspectives....all else being equal.
Just my 2pennies worth. Meanwhile the sell side is hugging the bid to this mornings ~$16.98 downtrend line. All in an attempt to dive the bid back to the ~$17.41 downtrend line which sits at ~$16.60. And they'll do it, too. You watch. Bid now $16.65 and still being pounded in Texas 2-step (downward) style.
You can screw yourself on covered calls. Then the stock turns around before your call expires, and you lose out on the upside, then the stock falls again, so you lose, and all the while all you did is make a little money. I've been there & that's what screwed me on MU, or it would have been sold at !8.70 and I'd be out.
