I never saw this rebound coming in one day especially the way it acted the past few days. Maybe it's a one day event or maybe it backed and filled the past few days and continues higher from here. There is some rebalancing going on in the markets today that may have something to do with it but boy did I blow it here. It's ok made some money earlier in F and caught the lows today in KMX and hopefully will make something there too. I'm hoping for mid $49 or better there. Good Luck!
Think about it. Two divergent forces. One thinking about taking some profits, or scared out of their shares by inappropriate interpretation of news, and the other camp believing we have not seen the best of times yet. Earnings to be reported in about 9 trading days. Quarter ending sooner. Institutions dressing up their portfolios. You have to think that the trend to earnings is going to be even more positive from here on. AND, if the earnings are better than the guesstimates, it is going to be something to behold.
Did anybody notice that Apple was also down for the last days? Both on Wednesday and Thursday, so I don't think it was just the rumor of a new plant, MU stock was also affected by the China Mobile deal not set in place yet by Apple. We have to get used to the idea from now on that when Apple goes goes down, it may also affect MU. Apple is up today.
Came back to MU Wednesday, pick up shares in 1k increments from 20.97 all the way to 21.65, will stay here until earnings.
Guys also watch SWIR and S, been playing them this week as well.
td, thx for the tips on SWIR (Sierra Wireles) and S(Sprint)! I just did a quick review and both have increased steadily every day this week! Looks like S has been going up steadily for at least the last 3 months! I'm wondering if this is because it's just doing well or if it's the anticipation of a bid for T-Mobile? Thoughts on that appreciated. kg
Good job on F. Wow, if you made money on that you're good! I've been watching it all week - gott hammered last few days. Figured it was due for a leg up today. I was right but didn't get in in time.
Yes, MU does appear to be acting like it's old self again today. I haven't seen any news releases yet that I can attribute it to. It has been hammered this week and was stagnant at best last week. The overall market is up on bullish economy data and most of my reader is up from that. But then today's a Friday and going into short Xmas next week. Go figure!
I ain't complaining. Sitting on 6K of MU @ $22.56 Long. Itchy to get out before tonight though....
