If you did some reasearch you will find that Ford does have vehicles that beat Toyota in quality but some people do not want to hear this, buying an American owned automobile keeps your hard earned dollar here in the USA were it gets re circulated at the local gas station, grocery store, oil chang place, ect instead of mailing your car payment straight to Japan, -
the only thing buying a Ford helps support is the UAW graveytrain!!!!!!

to be honest, I'm more concerned with the billion mecca-flopping bomb-strapping oil-selling idiots in the Middle East than I am about 2006 Japan. Japan is a great ally and trading partner.
And I love my Accord and Sienna! -

Drawing a comparison to 12/7/41 just highlights how blind, stupid, arrogant, and careless the leaders in a flagship world market were for the past 40 years. It was really piz poor American management because unlike in 1941, the Japanese automakers signalled all of there market intentions in plain view, focusing on fuel efficiency and obsessively improving quality.
This is what the American car companies did in the meantime.
