    Ford vehicles...early 1960's

Run away accelerators...not good!!..has happened before in with other car makers too....I also remember ford vehicles that exploded..when they had their gas tanks located in the rear end of cars...right in the trunk area so if you got hit from behind...POW!!bye...bye!!.....not smart ...who came up with that design?...this was in early 1960's models...for how long I don't know?...

    • I don't remember that but I do remember AUDI was suffer that in late 80's/early90's . The gas and brake pedal were designed too close together.
But, I don't think the toyota here has the same problem. I find it very hard to believe it is the floor mat.
BUT toyota need to be upfront with it and NHTSA need to get to the end pf it. Remember, you can get killed by one of these problem car even though you don't drive a toyota, you can get hit by one!
