    2002 Tacoma frame rust - Frame is rusted through. Vehicle is unsafe. It's my only vehicle so what can I do? And the consequence is, well, hopefully I won't find out the hard way. I thought it was supposed to hold its value. It is now worthless.

    I brought my truck to the shop on a check engine light and my mechanic said my frame was rusted and unsafe to drive. I called Toyota and they said my truck was "no longer" covered because there was a "recall" for rust proofing the frame and it expired and I never got it done. I didn't think a recall could expire? I'm unsure if I ever even got a notice for rustproofing. But I am screwed now and hate Toyota! Sign me up for a class action lawsuit.

    Bought a new 2013 Toyota Tacoma on February 2013. Less than five months after purchase, the engine started to knock. Took it in for service 3 times. They finally told me that I had to wait 6 months for a "possible" fix from Toyota because the reprogramming of the truck's computer had to be certified. Meanwhile I am stuck driving a new vehicle that has a defect that the dealer/manufacturer cannot fix and waiting for a possible fix, with no assurance that it may not turn out to be a safety issue. Do I have recourse other than what they are telling me or is my family stuck with a possible safety hazard??? Bottom line, they can't fix the problem under warranty on a reasonable time frame!!!! Please help!!! Thank you.
