What is important to choosing an assisted living facility

Among considerations for those in search of senior living solutions—from prospective residents to their family members and others invested in working through the process of choosing a senior living community—staff remains highest on shoppers’ lists. FVE may not be doing so well in this category? Perhaps they are not motivated properly by the idiots that manage this firm???

    • are you an employee? if not, you probably do not have this knowledge...if so, I would not want you working for me if I were running FVE. the "idiots" you refer to probably rose through the ranks as you would if you put forth a little more effort or had ambition to succeed vs. complain. just sayin', as i have been in the industry for 15+ yrs - you're ALWAYS gonna run across some "idiots"...just try not to be one. if you have a family member at a FVE facility, you always have the option of moving. not sure of your motivation here...and, sorry if I'm off the mark.

      • The idiots I refer to are the top level mgt ... not the staff. These are the people responsible for the lousy stock performance, which is derived from a lack luster operating performance. If mgt is bad, it makes me wonder about the staff? I have no personal experience, BUT, I do have experience with KND assisted living and I have the utmost respect and love for the staff at the local facility near me. MY reason for writing is because, I am irritated with FVE as a result of their continued poor operating performance ... I am incredulous how ineffectual they are, in an environment which has been kind to most in this sector

      • thanks loriskhireward for your input. What is your assessment of the staff at a FVE facility?
