Ok, maybe I am just thick skulled, but tell me again why we would not consider the inevitable occurence of natural disasters when rellocating our headquarters into an area that actually has a named season for them...
"More than 6 million without power; at least 6 deaths blamed on hurricane"
"Officials in the states three most populous areas Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties were prepping to distribute ice, water and other items to storm-struck residents Tuesday, while utility-restoration efforts could stretch into weeks."
...It will be days or weeks before we are back to normal, Miami-Dade Mayor Carlos Alvarez said.
Felled trees and blown roofs dotted expressways, and all three of South Floridas major airports Miami International, Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood and Palm Beach were closed, halting air travel.
Miami is a major point, and this is a major disruption, said John Hotard, a spokesman for American Airlines which has a major hub in Miami.
Ego, has been severely damaged,,,and we're speaking 'major ego' here,,,,,he wanted S. Fla big time, although Atlanta offered a very attractive package..if was going to be a tough sell for him,,,but the condition of the company won out..
Exactly... he wanted to "go Latin". The company procures in Latin America- he wanted Florida- not for economics... he is a marketing guy.. image is important. "Living La Vida Loca" I bet he hates Ohio. This is a big hit for Fernando.
Do you really think anyone cares about what you sorry bit-crackers have to say on general business matters? Talk about "L"s - look in the dictionary and find a self portrait. Get back to your diet-coke spilled keyboards and finish some hard work that your internal customers might appreciate for change. Might increase your chances for getting a job offer, Miami transfer or otherwise. The rest of the real world, many of your IT colleagues in the working parts of the company and much of the earnings producing parts of the company live everyday in concern about where the next paycheck will be.
WZ will meet his maker by his own devices if he doesn't pay attention to what is really happening, stop playing empire builder and start actually getting somethings done. But if IT keeps up the lack of pace on internal service levels we're going to outsource one way or another.
Hasta la vista
