I have placed something like 8 orders with APMEX.com before. Every time, I have gotten reasonably timely delivery of my order.
My most recent order was placed 2 weeks ago, and they STILL haven't gotten around to shipping the damn thing. Is anyone else seeing this?
to the person who stated APMEX ripps off people. I checked out the premiums on the gainsville site. APMEX has much better prices. It is wrong to denigrate fellow posters on this board when you do not post supporting evidence for your statements. I will put you on ignore from now on.
Thanks for the tip. I will try them out with some small orders first.
APMEX is a bunch of fraudsters and con artists. They've already been reported to the BBB and I have an inquiry in with the Oklahoma County District Attorney's office, though I'm not sure if they will do anything, seeing as how I'm out of state. We'll see.
AMPEX is the best of all the online companies that I have dealt with and I have dealt with a few! They may be overwhelmed at times with orders but they always come through and have satisfied me completely. Don't listen to that crap about anybody else being better, they are not. AMPEX will always getting my orders in the future until they start to underperform. You can take that to the bank.
yeah the processing is slow at APMEX right now. I have an order with them by wire that is going very slowly and is really frustrating me. however, ultimately I am very confident in them and, truthfully, don't see a better place to handle my PM needs.
I have had several orders not shipped the day they said they would. However, I have received all orders eventually as promised. I let them know I was extremely upset they did not ship on the day they stated they would. Like you said, they had my check cleared for 10 days and they had no excuse not to ship on time. I still order from APMEX, but only have one order outstanding at a time.
I hear they are very busy... NO WORRIES with APMEX. They are scaling back their numismatics, too. The focus will be on bullion coins as Central Bankers slink into the dustbin of history. Watch for the new-and-improved tracking from USPS!
