    deal or no deal , in the end this doesn't matter because

    Just FYI, it's debt, not dept. You may be right on the rest, but higher interest rates hurt commodities, and that will happen if the debt ceiling is not raised so the government can pay what the congress had already funded.

      Yes high interest rates hurt commodity prices but Not applicable to precious metals like Gold and Silver . Silver is in a category of its own being a precious-industrial metal at the same time.

      Anyway the reality is clear . We have entered into unchartered territory that's why Nobody knows the outcome of all this at this point in time or are not telling the truth....
