But nobody is buying because smart folks are expecting silver prices to crash hard.-

Yet they are buying as much as you want to sell them for .40 under spot. THEY WANT AS MUCH AS YOU'LL GIVE THEM FOR .40 under. Why would anybody do this if they thought silver was going to tank? It's called a business with a spread. They have buyers and sellers.
