What significance are short interest players in slv to real silver investors?
I believe we need to thank them for keeping the price low enough for the average man to buy physical and secure his/her future. I don't have very much money, but I put $350/month into the real stuff. My goal is to get to 1000 ounces. It's not much compared to you big-time rollers, but it has allowed me 14 ounces/month for the last 3 months and a few hundred ounces over the last 2 years. I hope the shorters knock this paper trash down to $15-$17. That would allow me to secure 20 ounces/month of real silver. I need it to stay there 3 more years for me to complete my goal. I don't think it'll make it that long, so whenever larger commissions from the job come in, I'll put $2-3k into physical anywhere below $24. The cost of mining and minting can't be far below that price.
Physical is the ultimate. It can never expire or be mismanaged. Even if price drops, not a big deal. It is an element that is key to our electronic age and will probably in 30 years be the 1st extinct element on the periodic table.Get real. Really invest in silver. It will be back with a vengeance one day far too soon.
Beware paper silver. When the economy goes belly-up none of the paper will pay in actual silver. Instead, my guess is you'll get the USD equivalent in cash and a few days after all is settled, the price of the real stuff will rise again by 35-40%.
Check out the 1933 gold confiscation. Thats just what they did.
Very good Post....glad to see this, and too bad it got buried with all those junk Posters. Very well spoken, and you have a great outlook. Sounds like you have a plan, and I commend you. Many thanks for a real Post.
