Chipsteak, to quote a song from many years ago, "LET ME ENTERTAIN YOU". You see, right now, many countries and businesses are just getting into the energy management arena. I am sure you have heard of Itron, right? Well, they were there for the companies that were first to jump into this arena. The shareholders profited nicely. You might even know one or two of them. However, it's kind of like when the first VCRs came out. Remember the beta machine? Most people under 40 probably dont, because it went head to head with VHS technology and lost. Well, think of Itron as beta, and Echelon as VHS. The winners are the companies and businesses who still have not invested in the energy conservation arena. They are the Austalias, Russias, Mac Ds, etc, who are testing the waters so to speak, before investing huge amounts of money. The businesses that use Itron are the losers, because they already invested in a technology that is going to be obsolete in a few years. Now, they will either have to decide to "live" with old technology, or bite the bullet and upgrade. For your sake, er, I mean Itron's sake, I hope they stay with the obsolete technology. So, while you look at these "small" contracts as insignificant, I look at them as the beginning of the end of Itron as we know it.
