And on and on...
These are but a few of the reasons why I think elon finally achieves profitability in 2014 or 2015. I will even through it out there they have 500 mill revenue in 2016.
Also, given their history, I believe they could truly be uniquely positioned to profit substantially from the IofTs. I think they either get bought by another company above the 30 or so share price owned by the Oshman trust, or, they acquire others and become a major energy tech player in 10 yrs. I believe they have survived the tough environment that has existed even before sege took over and have navigated it with still a substantial cash position and a more lean, higher margin, better focused machine that will allow it to capitalize on the binging of the smart grid that will occur due to do many delayed deployments....that doesn't even take into account the return of building automation and the expansion of street lighting, etc.
Sure I could be wrong...but this is truly either the success story of a new tech area or complete bust that could not close contracts and survive near term headwinds....I've made my bet.
It's a $2 stock and going NOWHERE soon w/o major contracts or a buyout. In 2014/2015 it may be a .50 stock at this rate. Echelon's execution of a business plan (do they even have one?) is pathetic, and its longtime shareholders like myself and others are paying the price, literally.
What I find most amazing about all of this is how they just completely dried up in their ability to get any contracts at all....for years and years all this board talked about were how many new contracts were supposedly coming in and they were supposedly coming in abundance...........they have practically brought in nothing under Seges watch.................
OPEX is going to be significantly lower in 2014...it won't take a lot to show profitability...If the roll outs pick up as industry analysts and researchers agree on, (EU mandates kick in),..China Echelon/Holley JV pilot should be shown to be successful and contracts can be expected there as well...
