I just hope that Bill has no plans for retiring. I like having him managing most of my bond fund investments (which are in PTTRX). I don't have to worry about making decisions about long and short term treasuries, domestic versus international bonds, etc. Bill gets paid the big bucks to make the decisions. And, he's done pretty well over the last 20+ years.
I agree completely. Just trimmed several equity holdings on my part and added the proceeds to PTTRX and Bond ETF. The talking heads continue to tout equities over bonds with interest rate increases on the horizon, but Mr. Gross and his team have charted the course for their funds across the years and around the world with great effect. With financial rules of the road determined by our "representatives" in the Federal Government changing on a whim, I need a bit more reassurance in the form of a steady hand on the tiller.
