x-dividend date today so s/b down $1.04 to reflect dividend plus your $0.65 = $1.69... close enough.
what a rip off,,,,didn't know they deducted from stock price...
What, you thought dividend payments are magically produced out of thin air (like printing money)? And that the company still had the same amount of cash even after it paid you?
You haven't thought very hard about this clearly.
Always been done this way. On x-div. day seller keeps the div. and buyer has the price
reduced by x-div. all things being equal.
