Brigus Gold Corp Message Board

    Gotta Chuckle...

Posted Subject lines like "Insiders Buying" and "Breakout to $4"...meanwhile, back on the trading floor, BRD slips down 4% to 86 cents.

Kind of make you wonder why an investor should peruse this Board... Me? Mostly for amusement. Then again, I do pick up some small detail suitable for further research.

Still, the rabid passions of the Gold Bug and the Pump/Dump gang are truly fascinating to me.

Why should you give a "flip"?

    • burg,
it is also possible that the management is shorting thie co for share buy-backs.
Who knows, anything is possible these days.
The true facts is, BRD is finding and producing more & more gold each quarter.
And the cost of processing is cheaper now with their new methods.
      That is a fact.

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • burg,
      think whatever way you want.
      Yes, some insider buying,
and also yes, many are shorting this co for greedy gain.
This happens with hundreds of stocks everyday.
Do your own DD on this company, and then comment.
Otherwise, you are here for an agenda, not amusement.

      Sentiment: Strong Buy

      • Actually Oro, I'm a bonafide owner on BRD stock. Can't say I did much DD...I had about $900 in my avail cash balance so I posted it here on the chance of a decent return over a year. My cost basis in a whopping .82/, adding in fees, I'm no better off than if I just left it in that account paying about a half of one percent. Basically, I'm a nobody and I chose this stock whim. A violation of just about EVERY investing principle. That said, I am getting value from my investment based on the entertainment factor alone.

Are they finding and producing "more and more" gold every far, yes. But a stock price is more about future performance and potential. The better question to ask is "Can they sustain that performance over time"? Hmm, there's a toughie. Mines have a service life and they do play out eventually. I believe there was a thread about that recently.

I think I read that BRD cost to produce an ounce of gold sits in the mid $700' of the better figures in the industry BTW. With gold priced in the vicinity of $1650 today, my simple Jarhead math has BRD reaping around $900 an ounce. Wow! They should be showing some awesome numbers! And yet...

Something to contemplate, the average daily volume of BRD stock is rounded to 670K. Multiply that by the present share price of .86 and the total value of shares changing hands is only $576,200. Oh wait, the price just dropped a cent while I typed so it's now only $569,500. Let's face it, Mr Market really doesn't fully appreciate your passion for this true penny stock.

Bottom line? I honestly do think there is some serious potential here to make a decent run but also feel that I am well ahead of any movement...maybe in 2014 and 15 as the word from GreyFox becomes more clear.
