interested in EDE? All I see is spam.

is the opinion re UCU's intentions? What is the
possibility they will just restructure the deal to sell the
    Arkansas assets and move forward?

    • My brother-in-law has worked for EDE for the past 15 years and he said the Arkansas operation is a very small part of EDE. He believes the deal will go through. Hope this helps... Good luck....

      • Interesting thought. Arkansas may be a small part
of the company, however the Arkansas commission
denied the request to merge. No conditions. Now UCU is
going to have to spell out enough of their intentions
to convince Arkansas or the deal is off. Ucu has
stated its all or nothing. another major problem is the
value of their stock. If the deal was to close today
they would have to pay an additional $4.54 cents a
share for Empire which will cost them an additional
$100 million dollars. I honestly don't think UCU
thought that their stock would take off and now it will
be very interesting what they decide to do! Reading
a lot of their own material their first concern is
always the share holder value. That comes before
providing quality electrical service and employees with
UCU. That makes UCU paying about $350 million extra
for a $600 million dollar company. On the surface it
doesn't look like a good deal for shareholder value. If
that is truly what drives UCU then the deal won't
        happen. Good Luck
