It is a crazy world for sure. On the tail-end of the re-statement, Ernst & Young LLP has informed Unitek that it will not, if it were asked to do so, stand for re-appointment as the Unitek’s independent registered public accounting firm for the year ending December 31, 2013.
As an exiting salvo, Ernst & Young LLP has also written what is perhaps the most oblique note ever filed with the SEC, the gist of which is perhaps to avoid legal troubles down the road.
To excuse yourself, when you should be fired is an interesting twist. I sure hope Unitek will after them to, at least, reclaim the fees that they received.
P.S. It appears from LinkedIn that Unitek is hiring again. We must be back in business, then.
