Fracing will not increase the reserves. It simply increases the recovery rate.
At present prices no one is fracing for NG in Pennsylvania either. The wells are darned expensive for initial investment but profitable because of the fast reserve recovery, when prices are high enough for the NG.
SJT only owns royalties to limited horizions on their acreage. I'm not sure how that would affect your suggestion. However, lower pay zones that could possibly be there and profitable because of fracing technology may not belong to SJT.
Gas at the hub is under $2 and has been. This will catch up. Beware of cookie jar accounting if you are playing short from an option perspective. They can hold the price up longer than one would think by shifting revenue around.
