NEW YORK, March 17, 2014 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- The NASDAQ OMX Group, Inc. (NDAQ) announced the results of the semi-annual evaluation of the NASDAQ Technology Dividend IndexSM (Nasdaq:NQ96DIVUS), which will become effective prior to market open on March 24, 2014.
The following fourteen securities will be added to the Index: EMC Corporation (EMC), Frontier Communications Corporation (FTR), Himax Technologies, Inc. (HIMX), ChipMOS TECHNOLOGIES (Bermuda) LTD. (IMOS), Mentor Graphics Corporation (MENT), Nice-Systems Limited (NICE), NetApp, Inc. (NTAP), Open Text Corporation (OTEX), Power Integrations, Inc. (POWI), SCIENCE APPLICATIONS INTERNATIONAL CORPORATION (SAIC), Shenandoah Telecommunications Co (SHEN), Silicon Motion Technology Corporation (SIMO), SanDisk Corporation (SNDK), Wipro Limited (WIT).
The Index includes up to 100 Technology and Telecommunications companies that pay a regular or common dividend. The NASDAQ Technology Dividend Index is evaluated on a semi-annual basis.
I love HIMX, got in at $9 and been adding ever since. I bought SIMO first around $4+ and sold around $10. Jumped back in a little around $15. This hits $20 and I'm back out. I think HIMX has more upside. Still like SIMO so please no bashers.
