What recruiting status in the United Therapeutics PAH trial means...?
It means that for the first time ever, PLX-PAD cells will be (very soon) injected intravenously (IV) into humans. If and when we find out that it's safe...I can't speak for all the tutes, but that is going to be real good news for me....and to some degree to the whole world...its a small step, but an important one!
...like I said... the first time is very important, what if the lung would have a negative reaction???...can you say 2.50 pps???
Today's PR may seem to be fluff, but its the kinda fluff that keeps us steady in this early developement stages without shutting us down right from the start, so we move forward.
I like what mdplanet said: "This should make investors more comfortable as it de-risks the stock a bit"
....baby steps people, baby steps ...
In pharmacology- it is usually only the speed in which the drug is delivered that differentiates these 2 routes of administration. - IM is the preferred (and also is an "in- office procedure"- this is a good thing if approved) method when taken for something that does not need "Immediate Relief" such as pain relief- IV (usually in- hospital) is used frequently in that setting.
Sometimes non-events can be good in a sense that if we find out that patients will have a bad reaction to the cells...that would not be a non-event anymore.
In a sense of moving the stock price, yes it is a non-event.
BTW: pps going up to 4.00 is a non-event for me, its not like I am going to sell,
