Failed business strategy. Going to Hawaii,expanding service offerings terrible moves.Its after the fact, but Mesa could of been successful getting money from government routes, and contracts from airline companies as a regional carrier.
You forgot Mesa is run by a sleazy criminal and weak minded employees who have their jobs held over their heads on a daily basis...doh!
