Your probably right. The real money is going to go those that find a way to preserve the health of the population that goes to work, the grocers, the gym and stops by the virtual pad of a friend---all while lying on the couch eating cheeze curls.
XNA Game Studio 2.0, the most recent version of XNA Game Studio, was released on December 13, 2007.  XNA Game Studio 2.0 features the ability to be used with all versions of Visual Studio 2005, a networking API using Xbox Live on both Windows and Xbox 360 and better device handling.  This version of the software is available for students to download free of charge as part of Microsoft's DreamSpark program.
Some day in the not too distant future there will be the option to transport yourself in a manner limited only by your imagination to the vendor of your choice---your purchase will be shipped to your doorstep.
The virtual world will merge with everyday life--put on the helmut or flip down the shades and go anywhere--any way--at any speed...and make a purchase--while lying on the sofa.
Life in many respects will BE the "game". Sounds crazy but some of us will live to see it evolve.
