Was the Interwoven settlement designed to save face for HP?
Why would it take 3 months, after announcing a settlement, to finalize it? Also, did everyone notice, in the 2 days leading up to and the day (June 27) of HP announcing a resolution in the shareholder lawsuit, that 6,508,511 shares of VCSY were bought? The share price went rapidly up from just over 3 cents to 4.5 cents in just two days!
Was Portuno right yet again when he said in early June, “Now we wait for the Morrical settlement”? I believe that the NDA contained a provision for VCSY to be paid when HP gets their due from those responsible in selling a bill of goods to HP. That way, HP can pay VCSY in another way and not have it appear that they bought IP that they did not have a right to. Three months to finalize a settlement, then just 3 weeks later the sharp share activity in the 2 days leading up to HP announcing a settlement with Morrical shareholder lawsuit. How else can it make sense?
I believe that by the end of the year .03 per share will look REAL CHEAP in the rearview mirror. Will there ever be another opportunity to average down?
Soooo, why were those 6,508,511 shares bought out of the clear blue sky? There was NO news from either HP or VCSY in the 2 days prior to the resolution announcement. Who would buy that many shares on NO news? People 'in the know'? Who else? More importantly, WHAT do they know?
