I was surprised that the press release yesterday didn't mention the fact that the partial response numbers are based on a heavily pretreated population. Many of the trial participants had had multiple prior rounds of chemotherapy and whose disease was progressing despite it. 17% partial responses in this population is actually very good, but since the release didn't mention it you could have gotten very much the wrong impression. Given the sell off in the stock yesterday, I suspect this is what happened.
It dropped 7% on good news in two days. Who cares why it happened, this is a godsend. Picked up another 2200 today and will pick up another block tomorrow if it drops anymore. Rapidly approaching oversold territory. For a company with this many big-time cancer drugs in the pipeline to drop on good news, I feel like a kid in a candy store.
