Connecticut lawmakers passed a bill on Monday requiring food manufacturers to label products that contain genetically modified ingredients.
However, the state's governor said he would sign the bill into law only if it includes a provision that the measure would not take effect unless four other states passed similar laws, the New York Times reports.
