My guess is SNE may be down a bit on profit taking, window dressing by some funds, and down day in Japan.
However, I propose that those of you doubting PSP's sales take a look at GAMESTOP's earnings release, which shows that "New Game Hardware" sales for the 13 weeks ending 10/29 were UP 36%. Note too that the Xbox was NOT YET RELEASED at during that time, which means what? PSP is selling very well.
Well, this day's gone as I anticipated.
Chick, your comments persuasive, but I wasn't planning on selling any Sony until I see it's PSP sales numbers for this Christmas. If they are disappointing, then I'll bail. Otherwise, I'm hanging around.
frankie, you're right about the PSP sales but wrong about profit-takers. Perhaps a little horizontal movement on miniscule volume, but big players know things are looking brighter for Sony. Share prices are going to skyrocket between now on March as news of Sony's sales trickles in. And like I said, you're right about the PSP sales and being a new market for Sony that new money. I stand by my call of $60 a share.
'Off on very low volume, about 38% of typical volume. Looking for $37.50 next week. PSP & CE sales numbers will be outstanding.'..........................................................................................and the entire playstation franchise is vulnerable to the 'stayed pending appeal' injunction with immr which it will, in fact, lose.
This stock is under valued less what other people think but, nothing is set in stone yet. Word up - this stock be $80 dollars by May 2006. Reason, is UMD media, PSP Keyboard accesories and, internet web 2 version.. eh, TiVo. Who wants to watch watch TV on phone? Besides - there is alot more features to come with PSP and PS3 combiniations. Btw - thanks for the WiFi hotspot site link.
for my PSP.
TiVo already has a service called TiVoToGo. TiVoToGo lets owners of TiVo boxes transfer TV shows to their computers, including laptops. The content can also be transferred to gadgets compatible with Microsoft's Portable Media Center format. TiVo is expanding that service by permitting shows to be encoded and transferred to Sony's portable game machine, the PlayStation Portable, and to iPods capable of playing video.
Supporting links for PSP Keyboard.
Best PSP Online Computer ever when this Keyboard takes off. Hmmm, I might even do day trading on someday. Awesome.
