Plus we calculated the NYC building was worth$700 M, obviously with Yen depreciating (debt) and assets appreciating and new mgmt being more aggressive the BV should stand closer to $30 most electronics companies trade above 1.5 x Book. If this is the case for Sony it should be trading above $45 and if they come out with more innovative and affordable products, maximize content through online/cloud distribution (hardware/software seamlessly) then this will pop to over $100 and won't stop for over 3 years
The only problem with your calculation is the shorts that keep hammering SNE with 9,320,000 shares short as of Jan and probably growing daily. However this could prove to help your theory in the short term. Until fund managers start buying this we are at the mercy of the shorts. I have faith in the Experia and PS4 but the market does not feel the same.
For the most part I agree with your numbers but feel for the long term those are conservative numbers; Also in short term w may get a short squeeze and get really surprised.
I follow Sony very closely and have been very impressed by their product line up and the new management. A simple glimpse at their website can be a good start for anyone to start getting impressed. But, like you said, Yen's devaluation because of Japan's Central Bank's latest monetary policy is bigger than many may think and reminds me of our Feds monetary policy shift in late 2008 early 2009 after which we've had 5 straight years of market bull run...
