    The future of entertainment

I believe that sony has a major edge to the
entertainment industry yet are not taking it to the full
potential, where we may have to go threw 2 or 3 painfully
expensive generations of home consoles before they may even
touch the full extent of visual entertainment. I would
like to discuss it, yet it seems hard to get noticed

representative's who would be intrested....failing that has anyone
got views of how they see the future of

    • $94 today? Sne is strong again in TYO. Love the Real Audio stuff. Now we get more internet exposure but could even be better with a aggressive advertising. Yahoooo

    • they get probable get paid to promote stock information. Most free information services do.

    • I just wish Sony would do a national tv add for
their internet music site. It is far superior to any
internet shopping store I have found. They have been
around for along time and most people don't even know
the product is available in this quantity or quality.
Check out Sinatra. Just one of many top artists in they
      have in their stable.

    • I thought you might find this site of interest, you can sign up for free stock information.

    • I think that hopefulness in Japan is a great
propellant here. It has broken out. Perhaps momentum can
push it to $95 near term. Although farfetched and just
a wish on my part SNE would gain much more
attention in the US if it bought into an internet stock. I
just do not understand the low volume on the ADR's.
Further SNE gains may come with long term Yen stability.

Early buying of Sony shares in
Tokyo was seen from foreign players and

institutional investors entrusted with pension funds. But
      dealers increased
      profit-taking after the accelerated
      pace of advance recently.

      With strong sales of
digital home electronics and earnings support from
yen's weakness, the company will likely see an 8%
rise in group net profit to
      Y240.0 billion for the
year ending March 1999, said Toshiya Tsuchikawa,
analyst at Wako Research Institute of Economics.
He rates the stock at a

Nihon Keizai Shimbun reported in its Tuesday morning

      Even though the broadcasting

      Sony's earnings,

    • I did put in a stop loss at 87 but thankfully it
      did not trigger.
      I am pleasantly surprised. If
Japan puts a well-perceived PM in place SNE may
continue to rise quickly. I believe this giant is
undervalued but until Japan clean up the bank and tax
economic reform issues the true value of Sony can't be

    • i hope your stop loss wasn't filled, 'cause I'm happy with the upwards movement in sne so far.
