They still have some defense contracts for some chips, but I don't think it's enough to make much difference one way or another. The reason they sold their defense division is at the time it was only growing 3% per years.
Thanks for your comments. I was pretty sure that TI used to have a weapons component/systems group, but did not realize they had sold it to Raytheon(and others?). I still think the future looks solid for TXN...thanks.
General question for those out there..how much does TI benefit from Defense spending?
If things heat up with Iran, will increased DOD spending have much overall affect on TXN bottom line? Would someone comment on approximately what percentage of revenues come from Defense applications...?
