Once the Street realizes TXN's potential as the major player in the massive DSP market, it will command a PE of 30. The DSP market will grow 35%+ in the next decade as will TXN's earnings. TXN trounced expectations the last two quarters, this will be the prevelant case when they post this October and until analysts realize the powerful potential of TXN's restructuring towards the DSP revolution.
Wow! I agree, but am a little more hesitant. When is the next quarterly report due out? When do you think the digital revolution will hit the US? Most phones in the US are still analog; No HDTV yet; DVDs haven't really gotten big (do any of the DVD players use TI chips?). Digital is a worldwide phenomena. In that sense, it is even bigger than the PC. There are many more cell phones in emerging countries and PCs. There should be HUGE upside for TXN.
