If his company alone has just found a 100 year supply of nat gas how much do you thing natgas can possibly go up? There seems to be tons of it EVERYWHERE. I dont understand the point in getting into UNG when it seems as easy to find as seawater.
I was hoping you might find some humor in that.
I respect your train of thought of everything you've posted. I was just giving you a hard time.
President Eisenhower, "Ike", was the first to warn Americans of the threat of the MIC. He was a very good president in so many ways. Not the least of which is his desire to keep Israel from gaining too much power in the Mideast.
Why would Andarko bother to bring this gas out if the price is NOT right? Ask simple and straight forward questions and you get to the bottom of why Nat Gas has to go up.
By the way, Anadarko is not in charity business and is not US government.
Could you guys add a link to Anadarko's claim that they found a 100 year supply. This article from last week just says "There may be more than 100 years’ worth of supply to be found, he said."
Wouldn't it still cost something to harvest it? With seawater, I can just go to the beach with a bucket...
Incidentally, I find it quite hilarious that we have a dependency on foreign energy. The current situation with natural gas proves capitalism is an inefficient system...
Actually, this is good news for "Longs." Ample domestic supply means that the U.S. can count on a reliable long-term supply. This also means that more businesses will be apt to switch to NatGas from other sources of fuel. Demand will increase more than predicted. Price may not go back to historic highs. However, $5 per MMCF is realistic in the short run.
