Severe cold for most of Winter 2013

Google "Severe Cold From Siberia Hits U.S. Hard"

This severe cold will stay with us for most of the winter of 2013.

This severe cold is due to a stratospheric phenomenon called stratospheric warming. At the North Pole a large circulation of air called the polar vortex where very cold air exist during the winter months is effected by this warming.

The severe cold in the U.S. is here to stay all the way into March. We expect February to be very cold east of the Mississippi. We may see record cold that last for weeks.

If this were to be true we should be below 1500 bcf in March and Natural Gas should be well above $4.

    Sentiment: Strong Buy

    • You said record for the southeast on January and it didn't happen. You also said that it could be a MAJOR snowstorm in parts of the southeast and now you said record cold for February. It might be record warmth with a positive NAO and a positive AO. By mid February most forecasters believe there will the southeast ridge will dominate the pattern beginning on mid February when you expect record breaking cold. It's not going to happen with he southeast ridge reforming by mid February and since when does it snow in Florida?
