I was looking at more macro type trends(steel/materials)- and selected a commodities type play. I'd owned CLF for yrs about 5yrs back- was a good $ generator for a while- I figure get in again...also for div pays.
NEW YORK, Feb. 13, 2012 /NEWS.GNOM.ES/ — Cliffs Natural Resources (NYS: CLF: $74) has been picked by S&P Capital IQ as its Focus Stock of the Week. CLF carries S&P Capital IQ’s highest investment recommendation of 5-STARS, or Strong Buy.
“We view the shares of Cliffs Natural Resources as a compelling investment vehicle to benefit from a secular increase in steel consumption in Asia and ongoing consolidation of the global iron ore mining industry,” said Leo Larkin, equity analyst at S&P Capital IQ. “We think the company’s strong market position in North America‘s iron ore market provides it with a solid financial platform for expansion into Asian steel markets and the ability to fund its entry into new markets such as ferrochrome.”
